Spectrasoul have long cemented themselves as big dogs in the Drum and Bass scene, and 2017 was the year that LSB joined their ranks, with a series of diverse EP's and a wonderfully soulful LP. Spectrasoul's latest LP follows in the trend of their previous releases, whilst it doesn't really push the boat out too far - with a selection of smooth liquid two steppers and screwface belters - it's a solid addition to their discography.
This is my personal pick from the album and is a shining example of what has these both artists so successful. Heart wrenching vocals coupled with rising strings and weighty rolling bass. Like the rest of the album, it's not going to be revered as a game changer, but I'm a sucker for these kind of melancholic liquid rollers and this ticks all my boxes.
